i changed the msconfig to boot in safe mode to remove some fake microsoft warning malware on my lenovo laptop with vista home. when it boots up to the log in screen the keyboard and mousepad do not work so i cant log in. and because i changed it in msconfig even if i try the f8 method and select boot up normally it goes to the safe mode, so i cant log in. selected last known good version but that does nothing as well. tried using a usb keyboard but that did not work either. is there another way to get in and boot it boot up normally. dont want to reformat hdd have lots of family pics and work documents that i havent backed up yet. very frustrated, please help i am at a lost.

thanks in advance.

You'll have to mount the registry offline and remove the settings for msconfig that way.
Use Google to find the entries, to backup your registry, and to learn how to mount the registry hives offline.

I'd first try a standard ps2 or usb keyboard
