Hello,
I have had a look around the forum and have seen this error posted in several places, but none of them seem to have a way to solve my particular error.
I was happily sitting playing WoW, then all of a sudden the computer rebooted (First time it has happened) On reboot i got the Bsod "IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL" page. I rebooted the computer again, this time i got the options to start in safe mode or normally, i took normally, didnt work, tried safe mode, didnt work, I tried putting in my Vista disk, it asked if i wanted to run from disk, so i did, when it had run through the loading drivers stage i got another BSOD saying DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL. I then tried reverting back to factory settings, this would only get to 12% then hang, i tried this 2 more times and eventually took the HD out and popped it in the computer i am using now, i then managed to reset factory settings and popped the HD back into the original computer (Bye Bye 2 years of gaming lol). I started the computer up again and... back to the BSOD error DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL, the only bit that has changed is at the bottom where it says ACPI.SYS - address fffff..... Base at fffff....., Datestamp 47919285. Is there any way to find out what the problem is without taking it to a expensive repair shop, or has anybody come across this before?
System spec is
Vista home premium x64
4gigs ram (Took 2 out as that was one of the possible problems/solutions)
Intel Core2 QuadCPU Q6600 @2.40Ghz
NVIDIA GeForce9500GT / NVIDIA GeForce9500GT / RDPDD Chained
Motherboard ASUSTeK P5N-MX
Its a 2year old Custom built computer, my partner has a identical one next to mine so i dont think its the drivers as i have not changed any drivers on either recently
