vista only works on safe mode

Advent laptop
Vista Home Premium 32bit
1.5G ram

Problem:
Normal Mode with wireless on - after 5-10 seconds, entire desktop flickers, turns black briefly, then dumped back to logon screen.
This happens continually.
Normal Mode with wireless off - about 20 minutes, same effect as above, then dumped back to logon screen.
Neither of the above causes reboot, bsod or OS crash, just a 'flip out' then back to logon screen. Anything opened, i.e apps, browser gets shut during this process.
Safe Mode - completely stable, wireless/internet on or off.
Driving me nuts, safe mode isnt exactly the best mode to use the laptop in and totally unusable in normal mode.
Any ideas ?
Thanks in advance

OK
I,ve worked thru the process and so far the services causing problems are all 6 of the Network services (ones beginning with Net...).
Any one of them enabled and with wireless button on gives the fault symptoms described up top.

Check drivers in device manager. Look for any outdated or any with yellow warning markers.
Just type device manager in search to find it.
Run a full anti virus scan after update
Download and run malwarebytes full scan
Only if negative and problem is new, try to correct with system restore, if all the above prove to be fruitless.

oK
Thanks for that response, but device manager shows all ok....
my mistake...not a problem with ALL 6 of those services.
I've just finished enabling them one at a time and the only one that caused the blip out was the only only one that activated the network connection icon in system tray - Network Interface Service - system was stable for 30 seconds only, then blipped out....
Intel made the processor, made the network card(?), made a driver , incompatible with the operating system????.....yup...NETw3v32.sys....and I have tried others from Intel's site..same problem each time...beer o'clock.

If this is a new problem, try system restore as previously suggested. If the driver has just been updated, roll back to prior version.

Tried both of those methods, no difference.
Really annoying as it worked fine when I first got it.
It came with Vista pre-loaded so no disc to re-install.

Weakest part of my computer is the graphics chipset.
    Only ever used a laptop.
Also use USB Freeview TV Card
    Lenovo Docking Station
    External Speakers
Other bits a pieces as needed
tried that, lots of times.
must be a setting caused by a virus/trojan somewhere,
because it worked fine for months when I first got it.
system restore only goes back to January, when the problem was already there.
just fed up.

OK,
Think I'll try the repairs in the ads above.
If no joy then I'll need to know how to downgrade to XP, as I have a disk for that and the laptop was designed for XP anyway.
