    log file for damaged sectors

    I recently ran a check disk with scan and repair bad sectors (my OS is Vista Business). Several of my mp3 or aac files had damaged sectors. Now I'm trying to locate the log so I can check each damaged file and reload. Can someone tell me where check disk saves the log file to?

    You can find it in the Event Viewer

    It's located in Event Viewer -> windows logs -> application, item "wininit".
