BSoD "APC_INDEX_MISMATCH (1)"

Hi everybody,
these last weeks I got seven BSoD errors(I got 7 dump-files,which are identical). These problems seem to be related to a bad-running driver as you will see it by yourself. You also have to notice that windows defender told me that there are problems with "C:\Windows\system32\drivers\aswSnx.sys" .
I attached the zip file to my thread ,but I didn't understood how to run a system health report.I tried do retore the systems state to a date before the 22th of january of 2011 but it was too late now.

I got Vista:
-32 bit
-the original installed OS
-OEM
-The computer is nearly two years old.
-I didn't reinstall the OS.
-I haven't installed the SP2 yet.

Thank you in advance for your help :) .

Welcome
Yes its consistent with the driver
but
the bad news thats not the cause.
That driver is a lead driver and the culprit that is blamed for a bad driver.

May I suggest that you uninstall Avast. Use the uninstall tool
avast! Uninstall Utility
If it still does not work, Ill give you the driver verifier test.

Ill be honest, it usually takes a few BSODs to solve the problem. Dont get discouraged. One step at a time.

Hi richc46,
I ran Malwarebytes and was surprised to see that a register key was infected.
I deleted it,as a deleting didn't seem able to cause any trouble on my computer ;) :

Apart of that,i didn't had any more BSoD ;) .
By the way, does Microsoft Security Essentials have a virus-analyse,that you can start before windows runs, like avast?
