I was recently trying to format a hardrive I had with partition magic. When the program first loaded it said I had some errors it wanted to fix so I let it fix them. ( 12 or so) Then while in the program my computer went to the blue screen. It said it was protecting the system from a fatal error. So I restarted. When I logged on I found that my E partition was gone.
The partition is still there, windows just won't recognise it! Another partition on the same hardrive is in tact and fine. I went into the disk management utility and the partition is still there. It has no drive letter and won't let me do anything with it. When I try to get properties it says that the disk manager needs to be refreshed and is out of date. When I try to assign a drive letter to it, it says the same thing.
I also downloaded Acronis Disk Director and went into the drive. All my files are still there! Windows just doesn't want to recognise the drive in my computer.
