myrapp,
Try this first
Go to start -> type cmd in search - right click (run as admin) Then type SFC /scannow
that checks to see if you have any corrupt system files.

You may need to Run a Scan with AVG Rescue Disk

For this you will need

  • A Blank CD or DVD
  • Another Computer with Internet Access
  • DVD/CD RW x8
  • .ISO File
  • ISO Burner

For the .ISO File please follow this Link

AVG - Rescue CD | PC Rescue and Repair Toolkit

warning   Warning
You will need the CD Creation version burning the USB Bootable may Damadge your Disk

After you download the ISO File then you will need an ISO Burner to burn to the Disk

I recommend PowerISO

PowerISO - Create, Edit, Compress, Encrypt, Split, Mount, Extract ISO file, ISO/BIN converter, Virtual Drive

After you have burnt the Disk - Boot into the Disk and then Run a Scan

Note   Note
This may take some time

If you have any Questions please see the AVG Guide or Post back

See AVG - AVG Rescue CD Guide For More Information

Hope this Helps,
Josh
