I have a question,
I have downloaded EasyBCD
I have read most of the instructions and how do I get the program to my crashed vista ??:cry:
do I burn it to a CD??:zip:
Ite a exe file so it will not start from USB

Where do I start???:sa:

Can you explain your problem in a little more detail please? This way we can choose the best way in helping you - perhaps EasyBCD isn't the answer

Running vista on a Compaq Perisio f700 and system was reinstalled by previous owner and a very poor job at it. The system would recognize the CD rom. I deleted the upper and lower filters. and rebooted and the system crashed will not boot past startup screen, tried F8/F10 to restore but get nothing but blue screen of death...LOL

I want to install win7 if i can get the cd to recognize cdrom

What ever I do it has to be done with USB becouse vista would not recognize the cdrom.........??

I have the original disk with sp1 but will not boot from it...??

I have NO Floppy Disk........??

Yes have access to another computer with Win Vista on it (My Wifes)

Richard, I hope you can see this. I'm not entirely sure what to do from here and your opinion and advice would be greatly appreciated.

Would it be better to create a bootable USB of EasyBCD and boot from that, or make a bootable USB of the Vista installation DVD and repair the computer?

Why not try to make a bootable USB of BCD? I hope that if you can boot, it will be ok.
