Please can someone help me. I can't afford to bring my laptop to get fixed right now so i have to try to figure this out on my own. Nothing big that I can remember happend to change anything on my computer I just shut it down one night and the next day when I opened it everything was messed. I use firefox and my firefox would not open. My task manager will not open. Jpg's will not open, i do get an error msg when i try to open them though. My Adobe Flash PLayer just dissapeared from my computer and when I try to download it will not download, i don't get any error message it just never opens after i click continue when windows asks permission to run the program. Oh I've also tried to do system restore and when I click on the system resstore link nothing happens. I've restarted the computer. Shut it down and left it for a couple hours then turned it back on. I think I emptyied my recycling bin the night before it stopped working so the only thing i can think of is that something got put in the recycling bin that should not have so when i emptied it things stopped working? I'm not even 100% sure it was that night that i emptied it though i jsut know i did it that week. I have run a scan using avast and it comes up clean. Any idea's?

Sorry that you are having problems. Did you update and run a full scan with your Anti Virus or was it a quick scan. Be sure to make a full and updated scan.
Can you get to system restore, even in safe mode?
I have only done a quick scan. I will set it to do a full scan now. I'm not familiar with working in safe mode so I haven't tried it yet. I'm sure I could figure it out. Thanks for the suggestions. I will try and get back.
