Solved AppleSync Notifier.exe-Entry Point not Found

Started getting this popup on startup a week or so ago. Becoming extremely annoying. It goes on to say: The procedure entry point xmlTextReader ConsName could not be located in the dynamic linklibrary libxm12.dll. I've already tried uninstalling and reinstalling itunes and at another users suggestion have copied a file folder to folder and gotten no positive results. Tried a system restore going back as far as possible but whatever happened happened prior to the last available system restore point.

Lot's of things to try here:

https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3201445?start=0&tstart=0

Another post suggests uninstalling the MobileMe Control Panel, then uninstalling iTunes, then installing a fresh copy of iTunes (which will install a new MobileMe Control Panel with fresh dll's)

Another blames a conflict with a Panda Security program - do you use any Panda programs? If not, what security programs do you use (in case they use Panda components)?

Good luck!

EDIT: I have iTunes and MobileMe on my system - and don't have the libxm12.dll file on my system. Please search your system for libxm12.dll (to include system and hidden files). Let us know the Properties...Details of it, the location of it, and zip up a copy and upload that (if possible) with your next post>

Tried all the fixes in this thread and still had the error message. (FYI-I'm running Windows Vista on a AcerExtensia 4420 and I do have itunes istalled)

Finally fixed it last night . . . and it didn't cost me a cent. (Only because my sister had purchased the Microsoft FixCleaner version 2.0 program. When you purchase the program it is for more than one computer and so she simply gave me the extra she was not using. Ran the program, rebooted, and everything began to work just fine. All the crazy stuff my laptop had begun to do (error message everytime it restarted, freezing up, refusing the let me into the start menu, refusing to let me use click button to access anything on the desktop) that I hadn't went into details on suddenly vanished. I know this isn't the solution everyone who is still struggling with regarding this issue is looking for . . . but it did fix it.
