Vista Keyboard Freeze

My keyboard on my hp laptop with Vista freezes occasionally. Key strokes make a loud clicking sound, but cannot type anything. Happened today using Excel. Solution is to save work, then do hard shutdown and restart. I figure I must accidentally hit a key combination that locks out the keyboard, but can't find an easy fix. Anyone ever have this problem?

Hello pomtiques and welcome to the forum

Uninstall Driver

1. Open the start menu
2. In the search box, type Device Manager and open it
3. Expand the Keyboards category by clicking on the little + sign
4. Right click on your keyboard and select Uninstall
5. Reboot your computer after that finishes
