Solved BSOD After Running For A While.

Hello.

I've been trying to fix this for the past few days with no results. I keep getting BSOD errors(0x00000050) after running for a while. I can run a browser game for 4 hours and have no problems but then if I let it sit idle, or just run a virus scan or something without much interaction it will crash.

For instants I ran a scan the other night and it crashed, I also ran a scan today and made sure to click around every few minutes but it still crashed. I know its not that scanner either because this has happened way before I installed it.

I believe 0x00000050 is the code for hardware failure? I've run the Vista Memory Check and it came back clean. I also used the Dell Diagnostics and it all came back good.

Additional Info:
Dell Intel Core 2 Duo
Vista Home Premium x64
NVIDIA GeForce 9600 GSO
- x86 (32-bit) or x64: x64
- the original installed OS on the system: Yes

- an OEM or full retail version: Not sure(Got from a friend)
- What is the age of system (hardware):Probably around 5 years, give or take a year.
- What is the age of OS installation: Same as hardware.

EDIT: Mini-Dump and Reports uploaded. Thanks for any help.

You could try running Malwarebytes and a scan with anti-virus since this kind of problem could be caused by a rootkit or virus.

Yeah I was running Malwarebytes, it got probably %70+ done before it BSOD, up to that point it had found nothing.

When I got the computer about 6 months ago from a friend it was already doing this, so maybe he got it infected.

I'm normally pretty good about not going to places like that. :p

I put the "drivers" folder in "System32" and "SysWOW64" on the ignore list but it still crashed.

I was however able to get a picture if it helps.

I notice is says something abut paging, which is overflow from the RAM correct? Could this mean not enough memory or hard drive failure?

The reports seem to be clear. Its your anti virus (is it Symantec?) Make a system restore point so that you can go back if necessary. Uninstall using the Symantec Uninstall tool. Then install Microsoft Security Essenatials, to see how it goes.
After uninstall. go to search type cmd, right click and run as adminsitrator.
Then type driverquery and make sure this driver
acedrv09.sys
is gone.

I found this-

It is owned by Protect Software GMBH, a German software company. You can access driver updates at their website at Protect Software. Select "Support" and "End-User-Support". There you will see the file "Driver_Updater.exe". Installing that should take care of the problem
NetteinChi (further information)

To paraphrase, the website says that anti-virus software sometimes doesn't know how to handle their products. The software is apparently used on CD's and DVD's for protection.

Yes this does have a expired version of Norton >.< I'm going to update the driver above and remove norton, then try to do a full scan(Malwarebytes, and Avira?)

I'll post back.

EDIT: I uninstalled and ran the driver uninstaller above, then the installer and got v11, hopefully its fixed.(running scan now)

I ran a Malwarebytes full scan with success, Avira also made it through a full scan with no crashes. It has been on for 9+ hours and no crashes. :D

I believe its fixed! Thank you for your time! +rep to everyone.
