Hello all !!!

I am new in the forums and I need your help. :D My pc is getting the BSOD: Stop 0x00000101: "A clock interrupt was not received on a secondary processor within the allocated time interval".

And it goes on : "Check to make sure any new hardware or software is properly installed . If there is a new installation ask your software or hardware manufacturer for any new updates you might need. If problems continue disable or remove any newly installed hardware or software. Disable BIOS memory options such as caching or shadowing. If you need to use safe mode to remove or disable components restsart your computer press F8 to select advanced startup options and then select safe mode."

I am getting this STOP error randomly ( when browsing, playing, listening to music etc).I have the latest nVidia drivers and MemTest showed no problems with my RAM. I also uninstalled Daemon Tools and deleted the SPTD driver. The OS came pre-installed.

These are my system specs :

Operating System: Windows Vista™ Home Premium 32bit (6.0, Build 6002) Service Pack 2 (6002.vistasp2_gdr.111025-0338)
System Manufacturer: MICRO-STAR INTERNATIONAL CO., LTD
System Model: MS-7258
BIOS: Phoenix - AwardBIOS v6.00PG
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 CPU 6300 @ 1.86GHz (2 CPUs), ~1.9GHz
Memory: 4GB RAM
Windows Dir: C:\WindowsDirectX Version: DirectX 11

I have attached the Windows NT6 BSOD folder and the Minidumps.I would really appreciate your help since I am not a pro in such things...:p Thanks in advance

You only have 189 updates after SP2 - most systems have 350 or more. Please visit Windows Update and get all available updates.

[DEL]Daemon Tools (and Alcohol % software) are known to cause BSOD's on Win7 systems due to the sptd.sys driver. I'd suggest uninstalling it from your Vista system "just in case" - you can always reinstall it later on.
Please uninstall the program, then use the following free tool to ensure that the troublesome sptd.sys driver is removed from your system (pick the 32 or 64 bit system depending on your system's configuration): DuplexSecure - FAQ
[/DEL]
Your Realtek network card drivers date from 2006, please update them immediately from the Realtek website here: Realtek

Your Philips 713x Inbox PCI TV Capture card driver dates from 2007, please see if there's an update available from the manufacturer of your system.

Due to the large number of instances of Norton in the memory dumps, I'd have to suggest testing to see if it's to blame. To do this, try the following:
Anti-Virus Removal:
Please do the following:
- download a free antivirus for testing purposes: Free AntiVirus
- uninstall the Norton from your system (you can reinstall it, if so desired, when we're done troubleshooting)
- remove any remnants of Norton using this free tool: http://us.norton.com/support/kb/web_view.jsp?wv_type=public_web&docurl=20080710133834EN
- IMMEDIATELY install and update the free antivirus, then check to ensure that the Windows Firewall is turned on.
- check to see if this fixes the BSOD's
NOTE: NEVER run more than 1 anti-virus, firewall, Internet Security/Security Center application at the same time.
If all of the above doesn't fix it, then have a look at this topic for further suggestions (even though it's a Win7 topic, it applies to Vista also): STOP 0x101: CLOCK_WATCHDOG_TIMEOUT troubleshtg - Windows 7 Forums

Ok, so I updated the Realtek network card driver successfully and the free antivirus but I can't find a driver update for Philips 713x Inbox PCI TV Capture card. Shall I unistall it completely and remove it from the motherboard??? (I really don't mind removing it if it is the cause of this BSOD...)

The driver for the TV card dates from 2007 - that's the only reason that I'm picking on it.
It may be fine, so just leave it be for now. If we still don't achieve a fix with the other stuff, then you can remove it to see if it helps.
