This is a nightmare!! I have he BSOD with the IRQL not less or equal code. My VISTA OS fades to black before boot is complete. I I downloaded the Memory dump sysfile on to my backup PC, but I cannot find a way to get into my infected Laptop nor can I network out of it to post the file for review. Any ideas???

Are you able to get into Safe Mode? If so, you can try a system restore.

I am. I did one sys retore with a recent (within 72 hour) restore point. Nothing improved. I also tried another round with a 15 day old resotre point. For some reason it could not complete during re-boot. Should I try one more time?

If it didn't error out, try again.

If it doesn't work, I suggest going to Safe Mode and Control Panel, Device Manager and check to see if there are any driver errors. If the BSOD error is a Stop, the problem is most likely a driver problem.
