    Random solid colour crash

    Hello there.
I got this problem where my screen turns into a random solid colour, making me unable to do anything and forcing me to manually turn off my pc. This is a really annoying problem since it leaves me unable to play ca. 30% of all games i install since it either crashes at the logo/loading intro or the main menu. 80% of the games i play will/does at some point crash. I have done alot of testing with these crashes, and it almost never happen when im in the middle of the action. It commonly happens at loading screens and menues, and to be even more specific right before or after a match. I have found out that i can prevent this 99% of the time by minimizing the game, though as soon as i pop it up again the risk of crashing reappears. The only exeption (99%) is if it crashes right when it starts up (This only occurs with one game yet) wich gives me no time to minimize. Youtube is also an important thing to mention. If i watch a youtube video in fullscreen mode, or watch 2 videos at once (Not nececarily in fullscreen) theres a big chance of my computer crashing (I got no % on it at this point) I use a 32. bit vista. I have checked for old drivers and they are all up to date.
This problem has been going on for right around 6 months now, but i have been too lazy to do something about it till now
I have seen other people with this problem before so i hope i might be able to find help on it here.
    On advance thanks.

Start with the video stress tests here: Additional Hardware Diagnostics
If that doesn't spot anything, then try Prime95 (also on that page).
You may want to try the CPU stress tests also.

Post back with the results and we'll move on from there.

Also need your specs and the temperatures reached while doing the above tests.

You can use hwmonitor for all temps
CPUID - System & hardware benchmark, monitoring, reporting

    Thats not bad...

What cpu? Have you stressed it?

Have you checked your memory? You can use memtest86

I'm thinking this may be more of cpu/memory problem.

Its not a file, its like a operating system.

Okay, did you download the one with "New" written by it?

As I don't know how well your English is, sit back and watch:
