Hello!
Newbie to this forum. I searched around but couldn't find an appropriate match to my startup problem.
Bottom line, I can't get my Acer laptop started and can't self repair.
Yes, Bad Me!I haven't backed up files about a year. So, I really don't want to do a total system restore and lose everything. Startup Repair doesn't fix it. Windows Memory Diagnostic Tool shows no problem. Without a restore point established, System Restore won't function, (will not let me establish a restore point as it is in a limited diagnostic state).

C:\windows\system32\ntkrnlpa.exe is corrupt

Is there some way, perhaps using the Command Prompt window, to either fix or bypass the error to first: create a file backup, and then: perform a Restore?![]()
