Stuck on Dell Boot logo

This afternoon I turned on my PC, I suddenly saw that the BIOS boot progression bar was starting at half way, it moved less than a cm it gets stuck there. I have tried turning off and spamming F12, F2, F5 etc, I can't get in to the options to boot from an Ubuntu disc I have so at least I can get data off the HDD. I am worried its my mobo or something thats gone. Any ideas would be much appreciated!
Thanks in advanced

Sounds like hardware. No way to diagnose from here with the scant information that we have.
You may want to try another keyboard, but I do not think thats the problem

Not good. Can you see any status lights from the rear? If so what's lit? What's your model number?

Was it meant to beep? :/ Usually it doesn't so everything sounds in order the power light is it at the back and the actually power button also lights up when on. I have a Dell Inspiron 545, should r running with latest Bios, allVista updates. I put a GPU in last year
