Solved Page_Fault_In_Nonpaged_area Error

Hello,

I got 2 blue screen errors recently.

9/8 Kernel_data_inpage_error
9/10 Page_fault_in_nonpaged_area

Please find the attached file.

I installed TouchFreeze (a program so the keyboard doesn't skip due a sensitive touchpad) on 9/6 so I'm not sure if this is the problem or not?

I'm running Vista Home Premium 32 bit on a Dell Inspiron 1525.

Thanks for your help.

Yes, it is Kaspersky that is causing the BSODs.

Uninstall Kaspersky using Kaspersky Removal Tool. Use Microsoft Security Essentials as your antivirus with windows inbuilt firewall, and free MBAM as the on demand scanner.
Download, install and update those, and then run full system scans with both of them, one by one.

Dell Wireless 1395 WLAN Mini-Card driver is also failing there.

Update it from Dell, using your service tag. If still it BSODs during Sleep/wake up inform us.

Let us know the results.

My Computer

I was able to download and installed this driver from Dell for my 1395 wireless card:

Driver Details | Dell US. It hasn't BSOD yet.

It's not the latest but when I downloaded the latest version I could find for VISTA 32 bit (Driver Details | Dell US), I had an error when I tried installing it.

The error message was "No compatible hardware found. The software you are attempting to install is not supported on this system. The software will not be installed. Setup will now exit."

I'm not sure what the problem was. Maybe it's because I have an Inspiron 1525 and it's not listed under one of the compatible systems for this driver?

Latitude D420
Latitude D430
Latitude D620
Latitude D630
Precision M6300
Precision M90

But then on the driver version that did work, the Inspiron 1525 is not listed either.

Any ideas why the later driver version did not work? Just curious.

The other driver is working and I'm not getting BSOD anymore so the problem seems to be solved.

I won't try changing the anti-virus unless I get the BSOD again.

Thanks again, Arc!

A driver that is not listed for the hardware may not work properly. Compatibility mode might be tried, but that is for backdated stuff mainly. But as one update you have got, and that is working good, Its a good news :)

OK again. Hopefully it will work good. If not, you know what will be the next step :D
