Photoshop 7 crash

Can anyone help me out with this problem?

Everytime i start Photoshop 7 Windows Data execution prevention closes the application with the following message. I am running Windows vista ultimate 64 bit.

Does this problem happen every time you start PhotoShop 7? If so, you might not have another solution but to upgrade.

I hate to sound trite, but PhotoShop CS3 is version 10 and I can't remember when 7 actually shipped.

Yes. Now the darned bug is affecting other programs as well, viz windows movie maker, acrobat 7 etc. The whole thing appears to have started after a recent windows update. I tried to roll back the system using system restore to a point before some recent updates, but without any positive result. Can anyone help plz??:confused:

As far as I know. may be wong but PS7 will not work with Vista. I had a big problem with PS7 and went or Gimpshop. It was not much better.

As I alluded to in my previous post, I have no problems running Photoshop CS3 on Vista64.

I've not tried CS2, but it ran just fine on Vista32.

I know Adobe does not officially support 64-bitness.
