dvd burner driver

dvd burner driver

everything was working fine up until about a week ago when my burner disappeared when i go to devices it has this error message

A driver (service) for this device has been disabled. An alternate driver may be providing this functionality. (Code 32)

any help appreciated


ps the burner works fine in xp and vista 32 as i am triple booting

i have found this error related to the burner problem tried uninstalling and updating to no avail can anyone help fix this problem



Symptom:
Unknown Error returned; value 32
Cause: A device has a configuration problem that prevents it from working properly.
Details: The device, CD-ROM Drive, is reporting "tv_ConfigMgrErr32". This device will not be available until the issue is resolved. The Plug and Play ID for this device is IDE\CDROMHL-DT-ST_DVDRAM_GSA-H62N________________CL00____\5-12CCB616-0-0.0.0.
Resolution: 1. Verify the correct driver is installed.
2. Try updating the drivers using Windows Update.
3. Check with the manufacturer for an updated driver.
4. Attempt to uninstall and then reinstall the device using Device Manager.
