Lightscribe not working x64

Hi all,
I have a problem since upgrading to Vista 64bit from 32bit. The system no longer recognises my DVD drive as a lightscribe device.
I have run the LS diagnostic tool but no joy. I also removed and Re-installed Nero 7 Ultimate and this proved fruitless also.
Can anyone help, or has somene had the same issue?

Hi, yes i have installed the LSS direct from the site and still no joy.

You might want to check that your version of Nero is up to date. I use Nero 7 with 64 bit Vista and Lightscribe works fine.

I'm having the same problem, I am using Nero 7 and I don't get the lightscribe selection in Cover designer. I have the latest software and the Lightscribe Control panel sees the drive.

Anyone have and suggestions about what I can try?

Check "MY COMPUTER" to see if drive shows there. If not, turn drive off, unplug from computer & power. Plug back into computer & turn on power. Check "MY COMPUTER" again & see if drive is showing. if it is then you should be able to print Lightscribe label. Good luck.........Monkg

Apparantly it's a known issue with some builds of x64 Vista. I tried 4 copies of Nero, also a direct download and no joy. I then tried Sonic and Cyberlink software with the same result. Went back to x86 Vista and bingo bango bongo there is was working as sweet as ever. Got a new copy of x64 and it worked just fine.
