Anyone know of a SCSI U320 adapter that has Vista 64 support?

I have an LSI U320 but there are no drivers for Vista of any flavor.

Thanks for your help,

Noel

Re: Anyone know of a SCSI U320 adapter that has Vista 64 support?

Ive taken an Adaptec 29320 LPE PCIe X1 up to 320MB/s and a Seagate Cheetah 146GB 68 pin continous read wright average 110 MB/s i got Vista 64 benchmark ends at 5.9 more is not possible from the Microsoft calc it has to be something like 8 but benchmark comes to an end ;-) at 5.9 :-)!!! after youve plugged in the Adaptec card put in Vista 64 inst.DVD than Hdisk not found put in the Adaptec driver Disk and istall the driver you need! than back to Vista DVD ;-)
Thats it! -If youve installed the Vista go and make a 3.5" Bootdisk with a "mini" DOS on the same disk copy the newest Adaptec 29320LPE BIOS 3.14 ! Than the complete U320 will go faster and more stabel! or try to get the Adaptec 29320 LPE with the newest bios ask your
PC Discounter ! -or order at Adaptec direkt! ...with a 45 EU SCSI Kabel you gut 130 MB/s terminated with an end resistor! -so SATA ends at 300->1000MB/s many telling us its fast but what are you doing with a fast bus and slow diks?? ;-) fastest SATA Disk ends at 80 MB/s average speed ;-) its a WD RAptorX haha! I hope that ive helped you to make youre workstation running ...try on Vista64 ...Virtualbox its a fine SUN Microsystems tool giving you a fast 2nd virtual pc ...so that you can run Linuy under Vista the same time without speed drops ;-) ...

Adaptec 39320A-R has Vista drivers. Which LSI Logic SCSI controller do you have? Did you check their web site?

Re: Anyone know of a SCSI U320 adapter that has Vista 64 support?

Ive asked a friend of mine working at Adaptec Munich Germany ,you should take this one ive tolod you the others are as good but will reach end of bus speed earlier on vistas 64er version ...so reason is this is the best and first card made for pcie x1 slot (so less limits)
this is the link to compare u320 cards (driver you get for nearly all off them) but the one at the left is the one ive told you fast and best in price! ...and has reserve of 200% by just one drive 150-300 GB in one drive so you can use 3 drives by 300gb than you come to bus speed end ...but anyway normaly not 3 drives running same time in the average you can do with 10 or more drives agood job ...the driver ive used with 32 bit vista and 64 bit vista as well -100% NO problems! -thats what Adaptecs QC Garanty! the price is not up to date now -old webside ;-) you can get this 29320LPE for 117 EU (*1,54 you got $price)

I know the Adaptec 39320A-R works with Vista x64 Ultimate and XP x64 SP2. I would suggest getting a different card. You could e-mail LSI support. They are very good about getting back to you.
