From the Windows desktop, open the printer's properties window. 2. Click the Ports tab. 3. Below 'Print to the following port(s)' section, select the port to which your printer is connected. Example: In this example, the printer is connected to 'Virtual printer port for USB001'. 4. Click 'Apply' to accept the changes. 5. Click General tab and then click 'Print Test Page' to confirm the changes corrected the issue. |

| Banned Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Re: CANON MP 470 problems-HELP! Make sure the spooler service is started Windows Vista 1. Click the Start button . 2. Click your right mouse button on Computer. 3. Select Manage from the menu that appears. 4. Click the plus (+) next to Services and Applications. 5. Select Services. 6. Scroll down and Right-click on 'Print Spooler' and select 'Start' if it's not already. Try these two things first. If not you'll have to try to completely remove the drivers and reinstall them. |

If none of this works, then the only other solutions I cocan think of, is try tech support at canon. (I think they have online techs) and/or install the printer on another computer and see if you can print. good luck. |

| Newbie Rep Power: 6 ![]() | Re: CANON MP 470 problems-HELP! Problem fixed.. I'm going to post my solution out of MY OWN STUPIDITY.. I did everything you guys said, even called Cannon technical support...and nothing..so I was like WTFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF Then, upon examining my usb connections further, I noticed that the USB cable which I THOUGHT was for the canon printer was thinner than the one actually connected to the printer itself...sooo I started pulling on the USB cable of the printer, and what do you know, it wasn't even connected. FAILLLLLLL I truly appreciate your guys' help though. Thanks again! |
