SCSI 2 driver

Hi everyone,

I've successfullly installed Vista Ultimate and to my surpise almost all my hardware installed flawlessly. The exceptions were my old scanners. Now I don't care much about an old Epson flatbed but I also have a Canon film scanner that I would really like to get up and running. It has a USB 1.0 port (too slow) but I would much rather use the SCSI 2.0 port. It is connected to a StartTech PCI SCSI whitch I can't seem to find a driver for.

Finally here's my question. Are there any generic SCSI driver that could get me up and running or a SCSI PCI card that has a Vista x64 driver? One or the other would do

Leaff

Did you get anywhere with your problem. I see the response has not been very good. !
I assume that when you installed the SCSI card windows did not provide a driver for you. Do you now what SCSI chip is on the card itself ? ASPI generice driver may work.

Re: SCSI 2 driver

No I don't know what chip is used. At the moment I would have to tare my computer apart to find out because the card ia sandwiched between two other cards. I looked for drivers including ASPI but none were x64.

Do you know of a x64 driver that might work. Maybe let me know the location so I can try it.

Re: SCSI 2 driver

Is this your card ?

StarTech.com - Making hard-to-find easy! Computer Parts, Cables, A/V and Server management

Is the SCSI chip on-board a INI-9200u..
Looks like you will have pull it out to find out.
Looked at the drivers in the .zip file and no support for x64.
Also can not find any where else.
I would suggest that you WILL need to pull the board to identify it correctly, then you
can try to find a x64 driver.

Re: SCSI 2 driver

OK! My card is as follows:
Startech PCISCSI2U
Chip: INITIO INIC-940P
AD1P929
AP 9032.1
9930
So that would make it the 80 Mbyte/s card.
