MSI BToes 2.0 on vista server x64 problems

Device: BToes 2.0 (476-BW) bluetooth dongle
OS: Windows Server 2008 x64

I installed drivers from MSI website and after that i still have 3 unkown devices on bluetooth dongle
device ids:
BTH\MS_BTHBRB
BTH\MS_BTHPAN
BTH\MS_RFCOMM

same thing happens when i install newer drivers from
Broadcom Corporation - Bluetooth Software Download

I get BT icon in systray and i can pair up my mobile phone, but none of the BT services work. Any ideas?

Re: MSI BToes 2.0 on vista server x64 problems

Hi,

I had a problem here too on my Vista x64 with a Btoes 1.2 (Msi).
I've downloaded the Bluesoleil 5.0.5 here : BlueSoleil, 22 million users’ choice for Bluetooth software, Bluetooth driver

So now it's runing. Notice that you have to reboot your computer after installing, and at the same time i did turn off the driver signature verification because i think it may cause problems with this old hardware

Anyway, try to reinstall the driver, turn off the driver signature, reboot, install the driver found from the Msi website, then install blue soleil and reboot.

I hope this would help !

See ya

Re: MSI BToes 2.0 on vista server x64 problems

I actually did manage to install an older 5.1.0.1100 version of Broadcom driver (they have bluetooth stack in them) and it was working ok, but i had to turn of driver signing every time i enter windows and that was a pain in the ... so i uninstalled it and have not been using my bluetooth since.

Does that bluesoleil driver require me to turn of driver signing every time i enter windows?
