802.11n drivers for Vista 64

Hi!

Do you know any 802.11n PCI or USB cards that work properly with Vista 64?

Thanks in advance, namq

Namq, welcome to the Vista x64 Forums

I found a list of wireless adapters and their compatibility with Vista. As long as they have a signed driver, it should work with x64.

Here's the list: D-Link Eastern Europe

There's also a Microsoft interactive web site for hardware compatibility you can review: Windows Quality Online Services: Windows Vista Hardware Compatibility List

I hope this helps.

Thanks for the quick reply, but the 2nd page's not working and the first one is only about Vista, not Vista64 compatibility. As far as D-Link is concerned, DWA-547 has Vista driver, not Vista64 (I contacted D-Link's support about that). Linksys's card isn't working either. Maybe there are some unsupported drivers?

Namq,

Here's a link to a Microsoft list of x64 compatible wireless cards:

I tested it twice, and it loaded both times.

I hope this helps.

hello all,

i have been searching all over the net for a driver to work for my DWA-547 and i thought this migh be the right place to find some answers. so far i have tried installing card - then drivers = didnt work. so then i tried installing drievers - then card = didnt work (tried this coz most of d-link stuff needed to be installed this way in the past). but nothing i do has worked. i am running vista ultimate 64 bit. can someone please point me in the right direction as to what to do??? also the other thing is that when i install the drivers from the cd that came with it, it finishes the install (sorta) but right when it gets to 100% is says to me "cannot find the wireless card, insert wireless card now" which i think is crasy, because it keeps trying to do an update of the drivers for the card . . . that it cant find WTF!!! so yeah, can someone help me out.

thank you heaps in advance :) (reply to [email protected] if you want as well, that wud be awesome)

Not everything that is listed as compliant is compliant. The Netgear WN-311B is listed as compliant, but Netgear admitted, when we couldn't get it to work, that it had some 'issues with Vista 64' and that they were developing a new product to serve in that category.
