I have a Xerox P1210 Xerox will not support.
DocuPrint P1210 Drivers and Downloads Is there such a concept as a generic driver, perhaps limited fucntionallity, but a driver none-the-less. |

Today I tried to use whatever Vista 64 might like to use. It worked perfectly. Perhaps Xerox chooses not to create a driver, but somehow the P1210 driver is in Vista.
I clicked Start Settings Printer Add Printer Add a local printer Create a new port: entering the IP address of the HP Jetdirect print server, connecting my printer to the LAN Then it asked which parrallel port - which confused me I accepted Port 1 - the default Selected finish The printer was installed on the IP port (not parrallel) with a driver called Xerox P1210. A simple print tested worked. Printing a small PDF worked. I suppose the driver has limitations, but my needs are met. Bravo Microsoft & Vista |
