driver for hp scanjet 5300c for vista 64

Hi

Sorry, you are out of luck with this as HP is not releasing any drivers for this model scanner for Vista. This is from the HP site for this scanner model:

"We are sorry to inform you that there will be no Windows Vista support available for your HP product. Therefore your product will not work with Windows Vista.
If you are using the Windows Vista operating system on your computer, please consider upgrading to a newer HP product that is supported on Windows Vista. HP has numerous products on the market that support Windows Vista.
If you are in the US, see Trade-In Program - HP .
If you are outside the US, click the How to buy link at the top of the page."

Great advice robo7425!

Free trial, can't lose and from what I read about it, it seems to work across multiple platforms, so this just may do the trick.

I'm actually going to try it myself too. I have an Agfa Snapscan e52 and Agfa dropped it's Retail line a few years back and is focusing on it's Industrial lines, mostly Hospital Imaging devices. They wrote drivers for XP for some of their last retail models but they stated that those would be the last ever, so I have to boot into XP anytime I want to use my scanner now. I'll have to see if this could possibly work with mine.

Thank You for that link!!
My Snapscan e52 is one of the 750 supported scanners for this s'ware, and after Vista installed it's basic drivers for the scanner, the Vuescan software takes over and gives me every option I'll ever need for it now in Vista, and it works perfectly with the 64bit version....I'm very pleased!!

I remember hearing about this program a few years ago now, but I had completely forgotten about it and this post has been a godsend for me. I was almost ready to buy another scanner that had 64bit Vista support, but now I have no need for that, and since Agfa made some of the worlds best scanners, this model still outshines models that are new today.

Thanx again and I hope aladino74 has found that his scanner is also supported and works with this. I wish everyone would post back when things work as it makes our work here easier when we know what worked and what didn't. But too many times people just go away and are never heard from again when their problem is fixed.
