Re: driver for my flash drive

Hi Preston

Welcome to the Forums!

Vista will (should) have the drivers needed for this flash drive, since it is "Plug & Play" (isn't it?) but it needs to install them properly. Once you plug the drive in do you get the "Found New Hardware" popup for it?
You say that it does show up in your drives list but you can't access it..right? Has it been assigned a drive letter? That would mean that Vista has properly detected the device and installed drivers for it properly, so if you get all this then it's probably something in the flash drive itself that is locked out.

Re: driver for my flash drive

Have you tried this drive on another computer?
Try it on a friends computer and if you can't access it there either, if not then it's probably a bad flash drive.
