Sanyo Katana DLX scp 8500 on Vista home premium 64bit

Hello there, I recently purchased a new laptop and it came loaded with Vista Home Premium 64 bit and I've had difficulty getting my mobile broadband device to work with it properly.

I have a Sanyo Katana DLX SCP 8500. This device worked excellently under windows xp. Now that I'm forced to use Vista I am unable to locate a driver for the 64bit version. It seems that there is support for the 32bit version of Vista, just not the 64bit version. I tried to contact sanyo but they refer me to sprint. When I call sprint they tell me that there is already a driver. Their support staff seem unable to understand the 32bit version will not work on my version of windows. I have called several times already and each time I call I am disapointed because I am unable to get my devices to work properly. The last time I called they told me to wait for the latest version of Sprint Smart View. That is the software used to access their broadband network. Well, It just came out, I downloaded it and still no joy. I am at my wits end. Could someone please help me get this device to work? You will be my hero forever. Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I am hoping there is a workaround or a modification I can do to get it to work.

Thanx in advance to anyone who reads and responds.
