workaround for Sony Ebook on Vista64

Cannot install Sony ebook 32bit on Vista 64 no drivers from Sony for Vista 64 is there a solution?

Yep - I think the issue is the 32-bit USB driver that is installed as part of the process - I think this has been posted before:

1. Download the installer app from Sony
2. DO NOT dbl-click on it!
3. Open a command prompt window and run the installer app with a "-a" command line parameter so that it uncompresses the app but does not install it
4. now navigate into the folder where the app was uncompressed. Go to the bin folder and dbl-click the familiar purple book icon
5. The app will load and execute using the native x64 USB drivers in Vista

Thanks! Your help is appericated as the ebook was a gift to my wife, alls well in ebook land again.
