| Vista Home Premium 32bit | Disable HD Audio? Hello. I recently bought a new PC with Windows Vista on. It supports HD audio, and came with Realtek HD Audio Drivers. I do however only have 2 "normal" speakers -- no surround equipment or anything like that at all. And I think the audio sounds weird now, compared with my old PC, which did not have this "HD Audio" thing. Is there any way to go back to plain old audio? Maybe it can be done in the Realtek HD Audio confguration in the Control Panel? |

You need a basic 2 speaker setting (aka stereo).... Since you have Realtek JD Audio, see this thread - http://www.vistax64.com/sound-audio/...er-update.html |

My pleasure- I had some issues as well with the drivers that came with my motherboard - seems it wanted to give me a *lot* of feedback if I increased the volume above 50% - but I finally figured out that removing the drivers and then installing the latest fixed that issue - and it is what I figured was happening to you as well. |
