Hi.
I dont know what's wrong. Belive I have the newest drivers and so on.

My problem is that the computer freezes from time to time. This is most to hepend when I paly AoC (Age of Conan). Then I have to take a hard reboot. When the pc freezes the sound also do loops every 0.5 cek or so. I found out that Ready Boost do bead thigs to my system. I dont Use Ready Boost eny more.

When I try to fint the problem in Event Viewer it dont say enything but a unespected shutdown. The shutdown was mayd by my when I had to do the Hard reboot.

I have don this to make my pc bether:
(a pc expert told my to do it this way, it maked my pc run with almost no problem. Well, I have this freezes from time to time in games.)
1 Clean install with only 2 gig of ram.
2 Drivers, no utilities
3 Uppdate from windows uppdate mannanger.
4 instald the rest of my 4 gig of ram.
5 then I installd the rest of the thing I wanted, but no utilities.

Some time I also have a problem with the internet Explorer, gimp and adobe photoshop. it seems that al this pograms have the same problems. thay just stop working from time to time. and some time I have to make a hard reboot on this pogram also.

I got this message, "pogram stops working --> looking for a sulotion --> restarting pogram." But it go on for ewer and I have to take a hard reboot. Some time it fixes it self but it is rare (seldom).

When I use Event Viewer it dont say enything with this problem either.

Sorry for my bead English. Waiting and hoping for help.

The freezes can be gone one day, the other day it appers 1-8 times.

Unfortunately, *believing* you have the latest drivers is not the same as *having* the latest drivers. I'd check for

  • Motherboard specific driver updates
  • BIOS updates
  • Graphic driver Updates
  • Other Hardware driver updates

Also, do you see any problems in Device Manager? Have you tested your RAM using Memtest86+? How about any other diagnostics, such as checking your HD(s) with the diagnostic utility(ies) from its(their respective) manufacturer?

Did you verify that those are the latest drivers / BIOS versions?

1) nVidia Forceware 170.70 is a *beta* driver - the latest WHQL is 170.16. Also, there is a newer beta driver, 170.80.

2) Since the freeze occurs during game play, I would *stress* going back to the 170.16 as it is a *final release* driver.
