Gateway is no help for Moniter driver

I e-mailed Gateway and send the my Vista (32 bit) is showing a non plug and play monitor and I wanted to update the driver because I have a PNP 19" Wide LCD Flat Paner Monitor (the system is not Gateway) They e-mailed me back and told me to down load EZTTune. In the EZTune readme "EzTune is not a monitor driver. The correct driver for Gateway monitors is the Generic plug and Play driver." So Where can I download it from please post or
send a link to me. Thank You
Don

Re: Gateway is no help for Moniter driver

Generic Plug and Play monitor driver is built into Vista - however, if Vista is not recognizing it as a plug and play monitor, there may be something going on - something as simple as Plug and Play being turned off, to something more complex, such as Gateway using a specialized plug on their monitors that interfaces with its video cards differently than it does with standard video cards....

Try manually changing the driver to generic monitor in Device Manager and see what happens....

Re: Gateway is no help for Moniter driver

John, In the device manager under monitor it only list the Non PnP also. it also only shows non PnP drivers a line or two down.
under the action tap I scanned for new hardware no change.
how and where in the device manger do I change the monitor driver or turn on the plug and play?
