Driver Signing vista x64

why am i able to install unsigned drivers for vista, I thought they disabled this? I had a go with creative's latest beta drivers & got a message telling me they werent signed but gave me the option to install anyway.

Perhaps you have enabled unsigned drivers in the bootcfg file? have you used EasyBootCD utility at all, or else messed around with settings in MSCONFIG?
