| Newbie | NVIDIA Video card driver problem Hi. I just bought a new game, and when I installed it it gave me an "graphics driver cannot run OpenGL 1.3" I tried downloading the latest VGA driver from NVIDIA, but when i try to extract it two files do not extract. It gives me a 0x80004005 error code. Any information on how to fix this extraction problem OR, even better, how to get my video driver to support OpenGL 1.3 would be excellent. Thanks |

| Antidisestablishmentarian | Re: NVIDIA Video card driver problem According to the nVidia site, it should *easily* be supporting the 8400M, as that range of cards Quote: With support for Microsoft® DirectX® 10 Shader Model 4.0 and High Dynamic-Range Lighting (HDR), GeForce 8400M GPUs let you rip through all of today's most advanced and cutting-edge games and applications. According to this Windows Vista and OpenGL-the Facts - OpenGL Pipeline Newsletter OpenGL works great on Vista....and according to the technical specs GeForce 8400M - Technical Specifications it fully supports OpenGL through OpenGL 2.1 |

| Newbie | Re: NVIDIA Video card driver problem Yeah i know it should...maybe it's just the game. i have to extract files because the VGA driver i downloaded is WinZIP, so it needs to be extracted before i can do anything. thing is, i've never had a problem with other games much more high-spec than this one. i'm not sure i can try again, all the drivers came pre-installed so i don't have a cd or anything like that. |

| Banned | Re: NVIDIA Video card driver problem yes, or since your graphics card its nvidia go to the nvidia homepage search the updated driver and download it, i have an nvidia gefroce 6200 series and it works perfectly under vista 32 and 64 bits, i can tell you that any error on any game its anything but my driver of the graphics card, so if yours its 8400 series i believe nvidia should fix that bug by now, try to contact to the costumer support, they always help, specially if its for free lol!!! |
