| 32bit | TSSTcorp CD/DVDW TS-653L Problem Drive: TSSTcorp CD/DVDW TS-653L SCSI CDrom Drive Computer: HP Pavilion Slimline s3120n TV PC Issue: No CDs/DVDs recognized. This happened suddenly, I put in one disc and was able to pull it up. Windows Media player froze on me and now the drive will not recognize any discs that go into the drive. Doesn’t matter what kind of disc it is. I see the drive, I can check the drive. I’ve deleted registries, I’ve deleted all drivers and installed drive again and still it’s made no difference what so ever. |

| Vista x64 Ultimate | Re: TSSTcorp CD/DVDW TS-653L Turn off. Unplug the drive. Turn on. Let Windows remove it. Turn off. Plug in drive. Turn on. Let Windows find it. Test drive. If it does not work, test in another computer or replace it. |

| Vista Ultimate 64bit | Re: TSSTcorp CD/DVDW TS-653L I just had to replace that exact same drive. I had scavenged it from a new HP m7760n Media Center PC and it lasted less than a year. Got it replaced just before the warranty ran out...thank god...the replacement Hitachi they sent works beautifully. Not saying you should replace it just yet but if uninstalling and reinstalling the device and drivers doesn't work, there's not much else a person can do with Optical drives and you don't want to miss your chance to get a warranty replacement if you can help it. Good Luck! |
