Vista - vista x64 compatible webcam ideas anyone ?

Hello. Im a new user, but have the honor of being the first Vista x64 user in Britain ! I am looking for a webcam that actually works with Vist x64. Its laughable really, but my current webcam is actually a Microsoft webcam (vx-1000 lifecam) but the x64 drivers are dodgy to say the least, and guess what. . . . ... not even updateable using windows update ! Lets put this into perspective, when I purchased Vista x64 there was really only ONE webcam that was compatible, and like so many others. . . . . . . . I bought it..... and MICROSOFT dont even support it ??? That rhymes ! Thats weird !!
Enough raving, I just want a camera that works without problems, without grief, something supported natively would be nice. . . . .. . . . . . . .

Hi, jeroenspeak, and welcome to the forums.

I haven't found one yet, but I haven't really looked. I *can* say that if you search for forums with users ranting about your model webcam and Vista x64 more than likely you'll find at least one post suggesting an alternate.

I have the Microsoft Optical Desktop keyboard with Fingerprint Reader, and M$ is not supporting that in x64 land either.

Makes you wonder....

I use a logitech Quickcam Ultra Vision Hi Def webcam with Vista Ultimate 64 with no problems, 64bit vista drivers downloadable from Logitech website.
