ANY HELPFUL SUGGESTIONS GREATLY APPREICATED!

I successfully installed HP 3325 deskjet printer drivers on my new laptop running on windows vista basic and it won't print. Checked all the cabling and removed printer to re-install and the disc now gives an error message saying that HP is not compatible with Vista. Has anyone else had this problem and if so what did you do to sort it out. PLEASE HELP! I am tearing my hair out!!

Many Thanks in advance

Have you tried "adding the printer" in Vista? Google search reveals that the Deskjet 3500 driver might work.

Hi, my name's Cody, and I'm a member of the Windows Vista Outreach team. We're always interested in helping folks with any questions or concerns they might have about Vista, so hopefully I can point you in the right direction towards solving this problem with your printer. I'm certainly no technician, but I hope I can be of some help, or at least get you a little closer to making your printer something more than just an expensive paperweight.
A good place for you to start might be by looking at Microsoft's new Windows Vista Compatibility Center, which you can find at http://www.microsoft.com/windows/compatibility/Default.aspx. The HP website is also another good place to look for alternate drivers that might be recommended as being Vista compatible, like locoeng mentioned above. Please let me know if either of these resources were of any help to you, if you have any more specific information you want to share about your issue so I can do some deeper research, or if I can give you a hand in any other way with your problem.
Thanks,
Cody

As Cody suggested you can install an alternate driver. The Deskjet 3500 should work for your HP 3325. Take a look:
