HP Photosmart C6280 All in One Issues

So I purchased the above mentioned HP printer and installed with the disk that came with. Everything ran fine for awhile. A week ago I had problems with Adobe CS3 Web Design Premium and the licensing. In order to reinstall CS3 I had to download and run CS3Cleaner which also prompted me to download the Windows Installer Clean Up Utility. I wiped the PC of the Adobe apps and reloaded them. No more license issue, but right after that when I did a reboot, Windows Installer kept flashing frantically and kept trying to install the following:
TrayApp, Market Research, HP Product Assistant, PS AIO 02 Software, Doc Proc and PSSWCore.
I did nothing to any of the HP products directly. After that had happened, I unistalled the HP stuff and reinstalled it and on the reboot I got the same Windows Installer messages. When I did a shut down, I got a Windows Installer error message and rebooted to get the same thing all over again. I'v tried reinstalling the HP software from their website using the Vista 64 bit software they have posted and I still get the same errors.

Whats up???

Well, I spent over 12 hours over 2 days "chatting" with 9 different HP online support people. Nothing they had me try worked. I did everything multiple times, followed 3 different support docs they sent me and nothing was really resolved. I can use the printer and scanner, but not the Photosmart software. I have Photoshop CS3 so i can just do my scanning through that which is probably better anyways. In the end, the packaged software wouldn't install because it said I had a newer version installed. When I tried to install the 64 bit version, it would give me a fatal error everytime. I followed the doc for it but most of the steps wouldn't even complete. I did eveything from enabling the Vista Administator account to try uninstalling and reinstalling. I used Level 1 to 3 uninstallers and that didn't work. I tried the Windows Installer Cleanup utility and that didn't even show any HP products at all to uninstall. Edited the registry, but still got a message that the software installed was a newer version. I unregistered and re-registered Windows installer.
