External DVD-RW & HDD Drives Compatibility?

Hello,

I'm anticipating the purchase of a new PC which comes pre-loaded with Vista Home Premium x64. I understand that I'll need 64 bit drivers for some of my hardware (printers, scanners, etc) but I'm not sure about external DVD-RW and HDD drives. Most of my external drives are between 6 months to 2 years old and are connected via USB2 and IEEE1394. Can someone please let me know if I should expect any compatibility problems adding these to my forthcoming x64 system? Also, will I need drivers for my USB2 hubs or are the 64 bit drivers built-in to Vista x64. Thanks so much for any info!
