Re: Blue screen crash

Hi Tyke,

You could use base video to start and see if it's your graphics card drivers causing the problem.

Type msconfig in start search menu, right click it, dot sSelective startup and tick load system services

Name: START 1.jpg
Views: 793
Size: 27.8 KB

then under the boot tab, tick base video, Apply, OK then restart

Name: start2.jpg
Views: 795
Size: 19.2 KB

(Obviously, reverse the steps in msconfig to get back to where you were)

OR try a system restore in Safe mode to a point before the problem started.

System Restore - How to

Hope this helps

Re: Blue screen crash

I cannot tell you how to fix this problem, but I have had the same blue screen myself like you I tried checking and changing RAM as my research pointed to a RAM fault, I also tried disabling/updating drivers and switching off all autostart programs as the problem occured at / shortly after logon after this I also tried using system restore. All to no effect.

Eventually out of desperation I did a complete new install which worked!! my system is now running problem free for several weeks, so draw your own conclusions I would say it was some sort of windows fault.

Before this problem I had also not installed anything new or made any changes to the sytem, the last thing I did was to use Nero Recode after which I switched the computer off. Next start was with this blue screen.

Since the new install I have used Nero Recode again but I have had no further problems.

I hope this helps you further and would be interested in hearing when you can sort this problem out
