Vista - (Unofficial) drivers for Epson Perfection 1660 scanner

Great Work! I've had to use my scanner on my dads old crap laptop ever since i got vista x64. This will save a lot of time, I thought id make an account and say thanks for your work.

I installed the drivers on my new Windows 7 64 bit system. Works like a charm. I also pulled Epson's scanner software off their website and the two work very nicely together:

Epson GT-20000, Drivers & Downloads - Technical Support - Epson America, Inc.
Select epson13539.exe

Epson told me tough luck, but your driver installed without a hitch!

Now I upgraded to Windows 7 and got the message that my scanner was not compatible, but after re-installing your drive again no problem!

Epson should be ashamed of themselves.

Thanks for the driver. I have it installed on my Dell Studio XPS 16 with Vista Home Premium x64 and it works great on that machine. The only thing is that I tried to install this on my home PC with Win7 Ultimate x64 and it does not work. I have tried uninstalling via windows, re-installing, removing with Total Uninstall and re-installing or even installing over a previous installation of the driver.

I have attached a screen capture of the error message when I try to initiate a scan. If you select yes it just opens a help file to which I have exhausted all troubleshooting possibilities. It doesn't matter if I use the included utility, ACDSee or an online Java utility with my bank.

Please advise. Thanks again.
