Help please, not very good with computers

I am not very good with computers and I appreciate any help on this.

I updated my computer form windows vista home to windows vista business.

My problem is that I put all my previous files in folder I created in another folder called erData. This folder is not showing in the D drive now, but it used to be there before the update. When I do a search I find my files, and it tells me that they are in the erData folder in the D drive, but when I go to the D drive nothing is there!
Any thoughts?
Thanks
Aldissi

Hello Aldissi, and welcome to the vista forums,

You don't state exactly how you Upgraded to Vista Business but this looks like it is a permissions problem.

If so you will need to alter security permissions on the folder to allow you to se it and your files,

do a Search for the folder and when it is visible in the search pain follow the instructions in these tutorials to adjust things

Take Ownership of file

Folder permissions
