Re: DLL Woes

Hi

Go here to Drivers Kit and download this dll. It is installed into the Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat (8.0) folder.

You may have to register it if it doesn't work right away and to do that, press the Windows+R keys and type "regsvr32 %path%vdk150a.dll" (without quotes)(%path% = the exact location of the dll file -eg: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 8.0\vdk150a.dll)

Hope this helps

Re: DLL Woes

Hi Chappy,
Thanks for that. I was half way there last night and had downloaded the dll from exactly the place that you pointed me to, but had put it in with the other dll's in the windows/system folder; suffice it to say it did n't work! The missing file warning disappeared but reader 9 still refused to load so I uninstalled reader 9 and found an old copy of reader 8 which I installed and it works fine! I note that you specifically state in your post that I should have put the dll inthe acrobat 8 folder rather than the acrobat 9 one which was the program at fault, just for my pieve of mind can you confirm which folder it should go in please and I'll try to get reader 9 installed and working again. Many thanks mate!

Re: DLL Woes

Hi Windyridge

My pleasure!
I thought it was Acrobat 8, simply because that's what I have..., yours would be the Acrobat 9 folder of course. Actually, once you reinstall Acrobat 9 again, the proper dll should be installed once again and you shouldn't have this problem again, hopefully.
