| Vista Home Premium 64bit | SATA driver Asus P5E3 new computer I have just assembled a new computer with following specs: CPU - Intel E8400 Motherboard - Asus P5E3 X38 RAM - Corsair CM3X 2x2Gb (somehow corrupt so now I´m working with only one in single channel) Power supply - Zalman ZM600 Watt HDD - Seagate Barracuda 1TB ST31000340AS +cards and so on (no FDD though) The problem is while installing Vista 64, I get no drive to select as installing location though BIOS sees the hard disc. Browsing the internet it could be a missing SATA driver for the mobo, but on the CD which came with the board there is no working driver. I found only the Intel Matrix Storage manager driver on the Asus website, but this is an .exe file and I cannot execute it since the computer is brand new. Someone any suggestions? Your help is much appreciated. |
