Lexmark driver problem

I am trying to install a Lexmark driver and I too am getting the "Driver is not compatible with a policy enabled on your comp that blocks NT 4.0 drivers". Can anyone tell me how to get around this or if I can get around this, I have spent way to much time trying to figure this out to no avail. I am somewhat comp illiterate not completly just a little. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

In order to help you better, I'll need the following information:
  1. What printer is it?
  2. Which version of Windows Vista do you have? (32bit or 64bit)
  3. Have you checked Lexmarks site for an updated driver?

Re: Lexmark driver problem

The printer is a Lexmark X6150.
Vista Ultimate 32bit.
I did check for an updated driver and downloaded it and still get the message

Re: Lexmark driver problem

Lexmark X6150 for Vista Ultimate 32bit

Remove any previous installed drivers (reboot may be required), and re-install.
Hope this helps.

Re: Lexmark driver problem

Run the driver as an administrator?
There seems to be an underlying issue here...
