Vista - Problem Installing ATI 8.10 Drivers

I picked up the new game Far Cry 2 and started playing it for a bit and i was getting really weird effects in the game. Like trees turning green and red, anyway i decided to upgrade my graphics card drivers. I'm running Catalyst 8.8 and now they have 8.10 out. So i download the bundle that comes with the software and driver. I goto run the setup.exe and it opens like normal and asks for the language. I chose english and hit next and then click install. And then it pops up Catalyst Install manager has stoped working. I click close program and it closes and nothing is installed. I have installed Catalyst drivers before i dont know what could be causing this problem. I even downloaded the 8.9 version and got the same issue. Does anyone have any idea what this could be? Thanks in advance. Specs below.

MSI k9a2 Plat v1 (bios 1.4)
AMD Phenom 9500 (2.4Ghz)
OCZ 4gig ram
ATI 3870 x2 (840/915)
250gig Seagate HDD 7200 RPM
150 gig WD 10k RPM
1000 Watt antec PSU
Vista Ultimate 64bit

Try uninstalling the old drivers, deleting the ATI folder In "C" drive, Reboot into safe mode, go to device manager and uninstall the video card along with the driver (check the remove drivers box, if it shows up). Reboot. Install new drivers.

You might have to reboot twice before the new drivers install, that happened to me once. That's it. You may have got something messed up which is preventing you from installing the new driver in the first place.

These procedure do work on Vista 64 as I too have Ultimate64 with a 4850 card.

Just got home from work going to try this out right now. Ill let you know what happens.
