my external hard drive is not showing up after i updated vista

I don't know where to put this, sorry if it's in the wrong forum.

After I just recently updated vista (wish I never did!) my external hard drive hasn't shown up since. I updated about the weekend I guess. The updates caused so many problems. I was lucky enough to get my sound back! :mad:

Hey Vistasucks,

Welcome to the forum,
Check that the usb drivers are properly installed,
Also when I have had this problem before I have found that it helps if the drive is left connected and switched on while doing a new start
