Hard Disk Drive failure, help plz!!!!

Hi, I bought a new computer about a 3 weeks ago. I have 2 hard disk drives: Seagate 1000GB 7200.11 32MB
Western Digital 150GB 10KRPM 16MB
and two days ago, the Seagate hard drive isnt being recognized/seen by the computer. I have an Asus P5Q3 Deluxe mother board. Please help

A week before this problem I was getting alot of BSOD's and freezes, turned out to be faulty RAM, but added this in case it might help.

I have never had this problem before... I unplugged and replugged the hard drive, and switched a cord that links it to the motherboard. I have also tried putting the cord into a different SATA port but it didnt work, I didnt try a diff power cord yet, but I will see if it works or not and post it

PS - I'm not very computer technical or w/e, but please help

Re: Hard Disk Drive failure, help plz!!!!

Install it in another computer and test. Did you upgrade the BIOS on that motherboard? Does your board support that size hard drive? Many don't support 1000 GB hard drive. BSOD and freezes could be BIOS and driver conflict.

I'm not getting any more BSOD's wit hthe new RAM I put in. I didnt upgrade my BIOS, b/c the site said not to upgrade unless you have problems, I'll try puttin it into another comp and see what happens, and I dont know if my mother board can hold it, I'll check that out too, thnx

Re: Hard Disk Drive failure, help plz!!!!

RAID 0 is striping across multiple drives. Did you just leave this drive as a single basic partition?

Re: Hard Disk Drive failure, help plz!!!!

I'm sorry for the late reply... I installed and tested on two different computers(these computers are about 4 years old at least) and they didnt detect it.

I'm sorry, I still dont understand RAID 0, and leaving the drive as a single basic partition. if you could add more detail, and how to get there, it would be greatly appreciated.
